Welcome to Cinemati ("we", "our", or "us"). Cinemati is a movie trailer discovery application designed for Arabic-speaking audiences. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect and how we use it.

2 Information We Collect

2.1 Device Identifier

We collect your device's advertising identifier (such as Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA) to serve personalized advertisements through Google AdMob. This identifier can be reset or disabled in your device settings.

• Watchlist and favorites selections

2.3 Advertising Data

Through our advertising partner Google AdMob, limited data may be collected for the purpose of serving relevant advertisements, including:

2.4 AI Recommendation Data

When you choose to use our AI-powered movie recommendations feature, your viewing history and preferences may be shared with Anthropic's Claude API to generate personalized suggestions. This feature requires your explicit consent before activation.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

4 Third-Party Services

Cinemati integrates with the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

4.1 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

We use the TMDB API to retrieve movie information, posters, ratings, and other metadata. TMDB does not receive any of your personal data from us.

4.3 YouTube

Movie trailers are streamed via YouTube's embedded player. YouTube may collect data in accordance with Google's privacy policy when you watch trailers.

4.4 Anthropic (Claude API)

When you opt in to AI-powered recommendations, your viewing preferences are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes this data to generate movie suggestions and does not use it to train models.

5 Data Retention & Security

5.1 Data Retention

Your interaction data is stored locally on your device and is retained for as long as the App is installed. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is deleted.

Data processed by third-party services (Google AdMob, Anthropic) is retained in accordance with their respective privacy policies and retention schedules.

5.2 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect data during transmission and storage, including:

• Encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS) for all API calls
• Minimal data collection -- we only collect what is necessary
• No server-side storage of personal data by Cinemati

6 Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights and options regarding your data:

6.1 Opt Out of Personalized Ads

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > "Delete advertising ID"
• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

6.2 Opt Out of AI Recommendations

The AI-powered recommendation feature requires your explicit consent. You can disable it at any time within the App's settings. When disabled, no data is sent to Anthropic.

6.3 Clear Local Data

You can clear all locally stored data by clearing the App's cache and data in your device settings, or by uninstalling the App.

6.4 Data Deletion Requests

Since we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our servers, most data is already under your control. For any data deletion requests related to third-party services, please contact us at maytham.altaan@icloud.com.

7 Children's Privacy

Cinemati is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided data through the App, please contact us at maytham.altaan@icloud.com and we will take steps to remove such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
